Pure Water. Protected Springs. A Healthier Planet.

We started Alive Waters because we got tired of watching plastic pile up. Everything we do — from the Italian glass we bottle in to the 11% of profits we give away — is in service of one goal: making plastic water bottles a thing of the past.

Why we exist

The story behind every jug we deliver.

In 2013, our founder was on a mountain in Big Bear, California, filling water bottles from a natural spring. The water was extraordinary. What happened next wasn't: he watched a family load case after case of single-use plastic bottles into their car and drive off — leaving the spring behind, but not the plastic. That moment stuck. If people could get this same water delivered to their homes, in something worth keeping, the mountain would stay clean and so would the planet. We started delivering from that mindset in May 2016 — one jug, one family at a time. Today, more than 4,200 households drink from our springs every week, and we've helped keep 29.8 million plastic bottles out of landfills, oceans, and recycling bins. We're just getting started.

Our commitment to people

Every part of Alive Waters is built around treating you the way we'd want to be treated.

We started this company because we wanted a better option for our own families — water we could trust, in something worth keeping, delivered by people who actually care.

Water you can verify

Every batch is third-party tested for contaminants, minerals, and pH. Your annual water quality report is one click away — we publish them, not bury them.

Glass that lasts

Our 2.5-gallon jugs are handcrafted in Italy from food-grade glass thick enough to survive a decade of weekly deliveries. They're not disposable. They're heirloom.

Delivery that respects you

Real-time tracking, contactless handoff, drivers who know your building. Text us at (800) 270-6417 and a human answers — usually within minutes.

Pricing that's honest

No subscriptions you can't cancel. No surprise fees. No bottles-and-deposits trick. The price you see is the price you pay — and your first jug is on us.

Our commitment to the planet

Plastic water bottles should be obsolete. Here's what we do instead.

Reusable, refillable, returnable

Our Italian glass jugs are designed to be reused hundreds of times. We pick them up, sanitize them, refill them, and bring them back. The same jug, the same shape, for years. No new bottles made, no old bottles thrown out.

Local springs, not long-haul trucking

We source from naturally protected springs in the regions we serve. No water piped across continents. No bottles shipped empty from halfway around the world to be filled and shipped back. Just clean water, with a short, smart route to your door.

Carbon-aware delivery

We optimize delivery routes daily to cut empty miles. Where possible, our local delivery fleets run on low-emission vehicles. Our packaging is recycled, recyclable, and never plastic.

A growing counter, not a marketing claim

Every jug we deliver adds to the count of plastic bottles kept out of the waste stream. We publish the number — 29,963,496 and counting — on every product page, every quarter, in real time. If we're not moving it, we want to know.

11% of every dollar goes to Find A Spring

We donate 11% of all profits — not revenue, profits — to the Find A Spring Foundation, a non-profit we founded to identify, protect, and rebuild access to natural springs in communities across the United States. Find A Spring maintains a public database of natural springs around the world at findaspring.com — over 8,500 springs mapped and counting — and partners with local communities to protect the watersheds around them. It's not a marketing line. It's a line item. We publish what we give, every year, audited.

Where we've been

The story so far — what we've built, and where we're going.

2013 — The mountain moment

Our founder fills a glass bottle from a spring in Big Bear, California, and wonders why the family next to him is loading plastic into their car instead.

May 2016 — First delivery

Alive Waters ships its very first jug from a small warehouse. One customer. One jug. One delivery route.

2018 — Find A Spring is born

We launch the Find A Spring Foundation and publish the first public database of natural springs in the United States.

2020 — Opal Springs partnership

We partner with the Opal Springs Water Company in Culver, Oregon — naturally protected spring water drawn from the ancient volcanic geology of the Deschutes River basin.

2022 — Blue Spring joins

A second spring source — Blue Spring in Alabama — comes online, expanding delivery across the Southeast and reducing trucking distance to our southern customers.

2024 — 10M bottles avoided

We cross 10 million single-use plastic bottles avoided — a milestone that quietly became our most-used proof point. The counter is now past 29 million and growing.

Today — 4,200+ households

More than 4,200 families drink from our springs every week across five states (CA, TX, FL, NY, NJ), with Oregon expanding in Q4 2026.

Our principles

If we can't keep these promises, we don't deserve your kitchen counter. We hold ourselves to them publicly.

No plastic, ever

We will never bottle in plastic. Ever.

Public water reports

We will only source from naturally protected springs with public water quality reports.

Transparent giving

We will always publish what we give to Find A Spring Foundation — by year, by dollar.

Two-click cancel

We will never lock you into a subscription you can't cancel in two clicks.

Closed-loop jugs

We will pick up, sanitize, and reuse every jug we deliver — not landfill, not recycle down-cycle.

Live public counters

We will keep our counter public: bottles avoided, households served, springs protected.
